We manufacture high performance, small chemical resistant seals from our own extensive material databases. We furthermore specialize in the molding of high quality rubber products into very complicated shapes, completely free from flash and parting lines.
Chemical Resistant Rubber Materials
Often, seals and gaskets need to withstand harsh working environments, and therefore require a higher grade of rubber material to operate reliably. KEF America provides a wide array of different rubber compounds, each with their own unique, chemical resistant properties to fit your needs.
Isobutylene-Isoprene Rubber (IIR)
Nitrile Rubber (NBR)
Ethylene-Propylene Copolymer (EPDM)
Silicone Rubber (Q)
Fluorocarbon Rubber (FKM)
Each type of rubber material offers its own chemical resistant characteristics. FKM, for example, is an excellent all around chemical resistant rubber. Materials like EPDM offer the added benefit of good weather resistance. Nitrile rubber has very good oil resistant properties, where as silicone has great temperature resistance. CR and IIR are great options for oxygen and ozone resistance.
